Braham Street Park
Introduction:
Braham Street Park was completed in February 2010, funded by private sector s106 contributions and the LDA. The new park sits on what was previously part of a busy road system and now provides a more tranquil space for local residents, visitors and people who work in the area.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson formally opened the new park on 19 March 2010 – making it the first completed initiative of High Street 2012. The completion of the park marks the successful collaboration between Transport for London, the London Development Agency and its Design for London team, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and private developer Tishman Speyer to improve the public realm in Aldgate.
