London Borough of Newham
The London Borough of Newham is currently one of the largest regeneration sites in Europe. At the heart of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Newham already has several major developments underway, with some £22 billion being invested locally.
With the youngest and most diverse population in Britain, more than 40% of those living in the borough are under 25 years old and over 100 languages are spoken locally. Led by a directly-elected Mayor, Newham is capitalising on the opportunity presented by the 2012 Games to realise its vision for a thriving sustainable borough that improves opportunities for its communities while establishing the borough as a global gateway to London.
